Man Beats 10 Year-old Son to Death in Ogun State

Thirty seven year-old Rasak Adekoya has been arrested by the police for allegedly beating 10-year-old son, Wariz Adekoya, to death.

Mr. Adekoya was apprehended at Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state, after residents reported him for severely beating the boy, who he descended heavily on because he allegedly stole from him. It wasn't the first time he brutalized the boy, residents say, as old and new scars were seen all over the kid.


Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the corpse has been deposited in the mortuary.

“The corpse has been deposited at St. Joseph Catholic Hospital Mortuary, Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo for autopsy. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the suspect be transferred to Homicide Section of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Eleweran, for further investigation.
