Sheik Sani Yahya Jingir who is the chairman Ulama’u Council of the group said this yesterday during the closing ceremony of this year Ramadan Tafsir held at the Yantaya Mosque, in Jos, the Plateau state capital.
He called on both christians and Muslims across the country to support Buhari’s government to building Nigeria, adding that criticism towards government has to be constructive rather than political.
Jingir during the closing of the Tafsir also called on Muslims with laudable voice to put into practice the lesson they have learnt during the Holy month of Ramadan and never returned to activities that are forbidden in Islam.
On the fight against the menace of Boko Haram, Jingir commended the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting the insurgents, reiterating his usual position on the opposition of the Boko Haram Activities, saying there is no Islam in their teachings. He called on the police on the Plateau to strengthen effort to curbing the recent activities of hoodlums in the state.
The cleric further urged Nigerians particularly the youths to engage in farming and other legal businesses so as to be self reliant and never depend on others.
