The minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige, has urged Nigerians to endure the hike in the price of petrol, adding that the government action was influenced by the need to reposition the economy into a
productive one. Speaking in Enugu when he visited the southeast regional office of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, (NSITF), the minister said the hike in the price of petrol would help to revive the economy, Vanguard reports. He said: “The Federal Government is not unaware of the hard times Nigerians are passing through as a result of the re-structuring of the economy.
